Travel Log Day One - Setting Intention for the Journey

Intention Journal Journey mothermala Travel

Tomorrow I start my travels. Originally I had thought that I would spend a year traveling wherever my heart desired and spending lots of time leisurely and thoroughly enjoying each place, only leaving when I had my fill or the desire to experience something new was stronger than the desire to stay put. But as I started to put this plan into reality I became more and more anxious and worried about logistics, etc. So I CHANGED MY MIND! Something that I used to think of as a “bad” thing but I now know is a GOOD thing. Listening to our inner voice and then doing something differently is always a good thing, not something to be ashamed about. As I have grown and evolved I have changed my mind many times and realized that it does not mean that I am imperfect.

I will be gone for three weeks, return for eleven days and then depart again for three more weeks. Future travel beyond that are still in the planning stages with the exception of an artist’s retreat in Iceland from mid-July through mid-August. I hope that you will follow along on this journey. Let me know if you have travel recommendations or if we can meet up somewhere wonderful during this journey!  I’ll be posting more photos and information about each place on my Instagram (Mother Mala), but I hope to post to the blog almost every day.

Intention (it may change as I travel - LOL): To be open - I envision myself standing with my arms open wide and my head thrown back - to  accept and observe with curiosity and wonder what enters my path. To view everything as an opportunity and to relax into the infinite possibilities that life has for me.

“Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen Hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.”
